Our first major initiative: free introductory drone training for underserved young people aged 15–25. Nearly 100 applicants from five countries; 50 participants.

In December 2024, Leading Wings organized its first major initiative: a free introductory drone training programme for underserved young people aged 15–25 in Yola, followed by a second session in Makurdi in January 2025.

What we learned

The response was encouraging, and it showed that drones were only one part of a much larger capability gap. That lesson shaped the evolution of Leading Wings into a Strategic Foresight and Capability Development outfit.
